Annual day celebrations - Nizampet

Vignan’s Bo Tree School, Nizampet celebrated their 19th Annual Day on 26th January, 2018 which was more extravagant than ever. The show was jam packed with fabulous performances by all the classes. These included marvellous theme-based dances, enlightening chief guest speeches as well by our very own vice-chairperson and principal, some exceptional dances by the class IX students, and a few rocking instrumental performances. We were incredibly lucky this year to have with us 2 extremely prominent chief guests, Ms. Sailaja Kiron, managing director of Margadarsi chit funds private limited and honourable police officer, Mr. Abdul Khayyum Khan along with guest of honour Mr. Lakshminarayan, chief executive, INTACH convenor for our annual day. Our vice chairperson, Mrs. Rani Rudrama Devi and principal Mrs. Vandana welcomed them graciously on behalf of the entire school and a breathtaking welcome dance was performed for all the guests. The guests then graced the dais to inaugurate the event with the light lamping ceremony, and to deliver their absolutely inspiring speeches. All three guests along with Mrs. Rani Rudrama had a lot of wisdom to share, all unique in their own way. There were lots of prizes to be given and students waited anxiously to receive the bright and shiny trophies. These prize winners included those who had to receive the merit scholarship for outstanding performance, the 2017 class X students who scored 10 on 10 in the CBSE board exams, those who achieved momentous performance in sports at national and international level as well as science and math olympiad exam winners. We also had some mementoes for some of our ideal parents in Vignan, as a way of showing our appreciation. The whole show was truly run by the students, from anchoring the entire show, to practicing relentlessly days before the event, to helping volunteer backstage in preparing for the event. The annual report was given by our principal, Mrs. Vandana to highlight some of our students’ achievements, victories, events, memories. The dance performances by the students were theme based. It was kickstarted by the youngest members of our school, the pre-primary students. They along with class I and II students performed dances illustrating fruits, vegetables, forests, honey bees in bright beautiful costumes which was loved by all.Class III portrayed the fantasy land where they showed what all goes on their imagination, from, robots to Tom and Jerry, to their favourite superheroes. Class IV transitioned from that fantasy to the real world and along with class V illustrated their own school life from all the fun-filled learning and mischief between friends and the love for the teachers which evoked a lot of memories for the parents watching. The beauty of the theme based performances was that it all linked to all that we learn and teach in Vignan. Classes VI to VIII depicted today’s Generation Z on how students have changed from the generations of the yester-years in terms of our values, habits, parenting, technology usage, handling of stress, physical fitness and careers. There were also a few instrumental shows, all practice and selection of songs was handled completely by the students, there was even a fun French song performed and some magnificent class IX performances. All in all, one can incontestably say the Annual Day was a grand success especially since it was attended by 6000 parents and in no way was it felt inconvenient or uncomfortable by anyone even though we had more than 700 cars and 400 two wheelers parked in the campus itself. It really was most definitely loved by all, students, parents, grandparents, and teachers alike
