Dr. Lavu Rathaiah, speaking at Vignan University convocation in 2018 recalled this famous quote from Ayn Rand. A brief contemplation of this quote by anyone familiar with Vignan Schools would make them realise, how relevant it is to the philosophy of Vignan Institutions.
Story of Vignan is the story of a man who rejected the archaic models of a failing education system. A man who would take up the task of reforming the education and in the process transformed the very perception of private education in this country.

It all began when Dr. Rathaiah started Vignan Tutorials in 1982, after his doctoral thesis on Child Psychology, Teaching Methods, Thought Provoking Process in Children & Channeling of Creative Resources. But in 1983 when he opened the Vignan High School, it was the dawn of the revolution that soon engulfed the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Since then Vignan has grown into a network of educational institutions that includes Junior, Degree, and PG colleges along with Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges. Today, Vignan has a university and autonomous colleges that could design its own courses.
At Vignan along with the pursuit of academic excellence, our thrust is on value-based education. Dr. Rathaiah fought relentlessly to never compromise the standards and quality of amenities provided to his students. To this day Vignan Schools garner a strong sense of loyalty from the parents and alumni.
