In the 18th Century, English Public Schools established the esteemed tradition of Houses, which represents a set of standards that a person should always uphold. Today, leading universities such as Harvard, Princeton, John Hopkins, and Carnegie Mellon continue to follow this tradition by appointing House Masters and dividing students into houses.
At Vignan Schools Hyderabad, we also honor this revered tradition in the 21st century by organizing our students into Four Houses. These houses engage in literary and sporting competitions against each other throughout the academic year.
To promote healthy competition and a sense of unity among students, Vignan Schools in Hyderabad have allocated students to different houses, with each of the 7 branches having their unique houses representing the school’s values.
Each house is supervised by a house mistress for a year, while the Captain and Vice-captain lead their teams in all events and play a crucial role in achieving success. By participating in inter-house competitions, students have the opportunity to showcase their skills and develop valuable teamwork and selfless service skills. Whether it’s a debate, quiz, or sports event, students strive to win accolades and house points.
Participation in various activities enhances the house’s reputation and instills a sense of pride in the students. Our Vignan students are dedicated and enthusiastic members of their respective houses, striving to win accolades for their house through fierce competition.
